Manifestations of Glittering World depicts a woman emerging from the sand, while a white rug pattern design is imposed through her and onto the wall behind her. The design is created in all white and references the Diné Fourth World called “The White World” or “Glittering World”. In the Fourth World, it is said that we as people emerge from the sand to live in the modern world. The woman in the mural is emerging through sand, while also contemplating the very sand she has emerged from. The rug design behind her depicts the four sacred mountains which also disseminate into building-like patterns, and eventually disappear onto the edges.
